Cheering things for a miserable Sunday

It's raining in LA. My mamma has gone back to England. My ex is being awful. And everyone is getting Christmas trees. And I know that opening up the boxes of ornaments will just open up the memories. So I am grumpy.

These things cheer me up:

Rody...

...a heart-shapes carrot at today's Farmer's market...

...a new pair of pink Repettos (75% off!)...

...a bunch of ranunculus (ranunculi?)...

  1. Imagine me out in the downpour, clad in my son's hoodie, up on a ladder clearing out gutters. Glasses so wet I can barely see. And feeling for all that quite intrepid. The truth is I always did the manual labor when I was married too. Patriarchal backgrounds will do that.

It gets better. Maybe we should start a video trend? Nah. Just some blog comments.

  3. Toss out the old (goodwill) and cover the tree in some of your favorite things.
