San Gabriels

Here's Timmy looking south-east towards the San Gabriel Mountains yesterday, from Hansen Dam. The patch of brilliant green in the middle is where the water flows - hundreds of little streams producing bamboo, papyrus, willow, live oak - in stark contrast to the dry sage brush desert and the purple-gray mountains.
