Ugh. It's really a mistake to stay at home all day long hunched over one's computer and sitting on a stool because your expensive aerodynamic chair is broken. I'm now desk-sour. It's like horses that get stall-sour. I'm sour and my back hurts and I haven't spoken to anyone but the dogs all day, except for Mr Gray who did call me up and do a very good imitation of me and made me laugh briefly. Briefly mind you. I have hermited myself away and I have only myself to blame for this dark mood wherein I find myself. It could also have something to do with the fact that I've been up since 3:21am. And not in a good way.
Miss Mink has been an extra on "Wild Child" today. She drove out to Malibu at five in the morning with Phoebe and Chloe and their friend Emily, looking cute in her mini skirt and tshirt. She is so excited. I can't wait for her to come home to hear her stories.
James has arranged for me to see his movie "We Own the Night" next Wednesday. "No-one has filled the void you left dear Bumble" he says to me which is enormously flattering and sweet but I wouldn't go back for all the tea in China or India or even that delicious cold green and white tea from Trader Joe's I devour during the day to keep myself awake while writing or fighting my way through the jungle of college websites.
I think it could be all about breathing.
