Aquarium of the Pacific

Yesterday's trip to the Long Beach Aquarium was a terrific success not least because of the very large fluffy penguin Wildy picked out in the gift shop; her arms would hardly fit around its tummy as she fell asleep with it on the car ride home on the oversubscribed 405. We petted stingrays and watched sharks and jellyfish and had fish and chips for lunch which may have not been the best adult decision I've ever made, but she declared triumphantly "this is my favorite food ever." And two thumbs up for Long Beach Municipal Transportation. Free buses to and from Shoreline Village, via the Queen Mary if you like, puts LA's public transport to shame.
