Everything is red, white and blue and fireworks and sparklers & potato salad and ribs, and strawberries & cream, and canolis. J favors X's "4th of July" over Sousa marches & Coral makes Pimms with cucumber and mint, and we decide that's our one for the year. The girls dress up as Lady Liberty, and all is festive cheer. Even the birds are color-coordinated: Cardinals & Blue Tits & Woodpeckers and Linnets.It rained last night, two inches according to J's pee pot, and the chickens are venturing further afield for worms and bugs who've come up to the surface for a drink.
Whoopee! The sun is coming out.
