Another way to deal with Empty Nest syndrome

From my friend BW (who lives in LA but is decamping in NYC:
Oh yes, I'm in deep denial! Somehow I'm dodging the bullet a bit...right after delivering M to school in PA, we drove to NYC... I'm staying here for a few weeks which already is completely masking any inkling of empty nest...I'm simply AVOIDING being IN the nest!
