Inspired by my friend Andrea's fiendishly smart office, I've filled my fridge with healthy, nutritious food that the children can grab easily when hungry. They tend to complain that the house is full of food but always things that needs preparing. Can we have more ready to eat stuff please, they asked. As we don't have a Waitrose or a Sainsbury's close enough to dash to, I thought the d-i-y red sticky labels on my own prepared foods rather appealing. While I bask in my own cleverness, my 19 year old son comes home at one ayem and I find a large mason jar on the kitchen counter the next morning with a few orange crumbs in the bottom. Goldfish. That would be his snack of choice.
