Fresh 'n Easy opens in Hollywood

So I'm looking for any excuse to haul my sorry arse over to Eagle Rock so that I can shop at Fresh 'n Easy, the new "neighborhood market" started by Tesco. It's pitiful I know, but both children now have articulated the same supreme joy that I felt the first time I walked through the doors. It's no Waitrose, but it's certainly better than the very sad Vons we've been beholden to (primarily because Jumby the chicken guy gets his chicken treats - old lettuce leaves and brocolli - there and the guy in produce loves him.) Twice this week I've been to Eagle Rock and I'd already planned another trip with Lucy on Sunday afternoon ("it's the Superbowl" she said "our husbands will be watching boring old tv"), and I even boasted to the man in the store that was helping us bag our groceries "we've come a long way to be here" as if I were attending a memorial service or something. "From where" he asked brightly. "West Hollywood" I said. "Oh didn't you know we have a store right near the Knitting Factory?" I'm such a ninny. So here is the address, though God knows they haven't spent money on their website - you wouldn't know they had any stores open from that thing. So, here it is. Seriously, run, don't walk:

why is fresh n easy so great?

tesco is like wal mart... pushing down wages, screwing workers and being environmentally unfriendly.

it lowers your cost at the register, but you end up paying with your health and standard of living being lowered in the long run.
