I took Minks to see Mamma Mia! yesterday and to be honest, she didn't have to drag me. I came out of the theatre singing "Thank you for the music" at full belt, much to her chagrin. It's a big sprawling mess of a movie, but it is, of course, contagious. One of my very favorite reviews of the year, Anthony Lane's, may be found

“Waterloo”—the song no plot could contain is a phrase for the ages. If I actually wore t-shirts with slogans emblazoned upon them, I'd sport one bearing those words. Fabulous.
