My thanks to MrsTay for pointing out this excellent piece on Palin by Camille Paglia in Salon. Paglia is pro-Obama and yet her piece is a nice counterpoint to the wildly extreme views we've seen in the press. With a little distance & perspective, the genuinely appalled perspective becomes softened and I've obviously had the excuse of being in Paris for a couple of days. This is not to say that I am not still worried about Four More Years (my plans to move to rural Canada are going smoothly, thank you) but I think Paglia's perspective is worth reading. I have also posted this to my Facebook page, an act that at least ten of my friends will castigate me for.
