Discarded to Divine: Phoebe Faircloth
I am inordinately proud of Phoebe Faircloth, the offspring of one of my bffs, whose design for the St Vincent de Paul hosted Discarded to Divine (which is named after the concept of turning old, discarded clothing into one-of-a-kind, high-end fashion) in San Francisco not only graced the front of the auction catalogue, but hangs in the window of the De Young Museum in San Francisco. Phoebs has been a designer since high school and this is her passion, but this dress was chosen from thousands of entries, some fashion students, some already established designers. Dresses will be auctioned off at the event in May. Proceeds are given to St. Vincent de Paul to help the homeless men and women of San Francisco.
