Hot X Buns (2)

Briefly and quickly as I'm driver for the day & the hair accessory business needs wheels: Hot Cross Buns are rising but not fast enough. My sister, the brilliant one, informs that trying to rise buns on cold stone surface not the cleverest idea so thus chastened, I've transferred them to a wooden board. Glaze made with brown sugar, marmalade, warm milk. Paste for Xs also made (flour, water, sugar). Please draw in a massive breath for resurrection of buns. I'm counting on you.
