Scandinavian Cookbook

I am mad about this book, The Scandinavian Cookbook by Trina Hahnemann. Tonight the Maharishi wants to try her Salmon burgers with focaccia.

I have to pace myself with this book, especially during the May, June, July and August chapters because the pages are filled with images that remind me of my childhood. A bonfire on the beach on midsummer night, elderflower cordial, bay shrimp with homemade mayonnaise, blue and white Danish china, stewed rhubarb, little red wooden houses sitting on a rock by the sea, fried mackerel fresh from the bay, billowy clouds in blue skies over the archipelago.
