Tenacious tomatoes
The tomatoes are growing wildly. Fed with sea kelp and some other organic deliciousness, they're shooting up and out and ignoring the bamboo stakes I've shoved into their pots. Small pieces of string tie them vaguely together, but the string looks weedy and ineffectual next to my monster beanstalk tomato plants. Happy to see loads of little yellow flowers and great masses of little green tomatoes. One of the buckets is overcrowded, but there is very little I can now do to solve that problem. So I watch and wait and feed and water and talk to them, very softly, so that no-one can hear, but the dog, who also likes to pilfer my wild strawberries.
