Scandinavian writers

Okay I'm biased, but I have a soft spot for Scandinavian writers.  Listen to the divine Jo Nesbø discuss his book (is there anything better than Norwegians speaking English?) about a serial killer in Oslo. See a NY Times interview here.

Norwegians like their secrets. Think Knut Hamsun or Henrik Ibsen.

One more thing: Run, don't walk to see The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Män som hatar kvinnor) in its original Swedish before Hollywood gets their hands on it and Nic Cage is cast in the lead.

Nicholas Cage would be a true horror in the lead, now wouldn't he. Perhaps as the bad guy brother in law?
