The Week in Food at Tianna Farms

A few things:

Momed: Run, don't walk. Fresh, fried chick peas. Thick white tzatsiki. Unctious muhamarra. Duck shwarma with figs & roasted tomatoes. Tiny Turkish pizzas (pide) with chicken, peaches. Pillowy-soft warm pita. Carrots with cinammon, raisins.

Valerie:  The second experience of the Blum's Coffee Crunch Cake did not disappoint.  A farewell supper for some friends moving east was crowned with the CCC.  Mouths full of honeycomb, guests swooned.

Beignets, doughnuts, bread, sticky toffee pudding, potato pancakes: Some of the things the brilliant pastry chef intern has been making this week.  Watch this space for evidence that the whole family has become enormously fat.

The best chilled cucumber soup recipe ever from Food52.  Tried and true. You won't regret it. (Food52 has revolutionized the way people cook and share recipes. I can't say enough about it).

My favorite lamb recipe: Jamie's bbq'd leg of lamb with Thai herbs.

 Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to everyone on Sunday and remember the summer solstice: Summer solstice begins on June 21, 2010 at 7:28am EDT.
