A 4th of July feast in Norway

Here is the beauty of four competent cooks: a feast is easily achieved in under two hours. Ned made traditional American beer can chicken on the Weber, along with belly pork, grilled strips of zucchini, grilled asparagus as well as potato salad (my aunt's recipe has gherkins and dill), green salad with nectarines, grilled corn, tomato and avocado salad by Honor and a berry pavlova for pudding. We picked wild harebells, euphorbia and orange blossom for the table and took pictures with the Norwegian flag in place of the red, white and blue Stars and Stripes.

Happy 4th to you wherever you are celebrating. Wishing you long and sunny summer days with your families.
