J's great aunt Josephine died yesterday, a full five years after her husband, Joe. She was the matriarch of the family, tall and elegant. In addition to her three sons, she raised John Sr., whose mother died when he was a little boy. Joe wrote the song "Josie" in her honor. "The house" her son told me this morning "won't be the same without her."
