Shopping list from Surfas today:
2 tubes Harissa paste
1 pot Hot Pepper Jelly
1 organic Sweet Chili Sauce
24 oz organic slow roasted Farro
24 oz Red Quinoa
24 oz Golden White Quinoa
24 oz Israeli Couscous
2 packets Castel Vetrano Sicilian olives
If you are looking for unusual or difficult to find cooking ingredients in Los Angeles, Surfas is the place. The Harissa paste, by the way was $2.99 a tube, which I consider a bargain. Also, there is a sweet cafe/bakery next door (Cafe Surfas) which makes the most exquisite lemon bars infused with lavender.
