Lynn's Fennel & Cauliflower Gratin

This is the beautiful Lynn in her kitchen, cooking up her Fennel & Cauliflower Gratin.

Here's the recipe:

(Lynn says: It's embarrassingly easy - I doubled it and added extra fennel.)

1/4 C butter
1 large head cauliflower, broken into florets
1 large bulb fennel - cut into slices and reserve some of the fronds
2T flour
1/2t salt
1/8t ground nutmeg
1/2C whipping cream
1C shredded gruyere, comte or swiss cheese
2/3C bread crumbs
1/4C grated parmesan

- saute cauliflower in butter about 4 mins and add fennel - saute until tender. Remove from heat and toss with flour, salt, nutmeg and fennel fronds.
- spoon into gratin dish, pour cream over and sprinkle with cheeses and bread crumbs.
-bake at 450 for 20 mins or so.
