Should you think this little video of the obedient new dog smug, imagine, if you will, that two minutes later, Pepper made his second break for the border, and I had to run jumping over fallen trees, and fording bulging rivers, and clambering over cliffs for a good mile before I caught up with him, bewildered and amazed to see me, in Oak Spring parking lot.
And some picture overlooking the Wildlife Waystation. I get a little giddy when there is snow in the foothills:

Love it! There is nothing like dealing with a dog that will not COME.
My friend endured the humiliation yesterday of calling and calling her Lab., who swam up and down the river for nearly 20 minutes chasing ducks, in front of several linemen, sitting on the riverbank having morning tea, laughing and cheering the dog on.
Glad you and Pepper were reunited.
Lovely. I especially like the brght light - is it from something I remember being called 'the sun'? We haven't seen it here in London for such a long time...xx
