Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney
It is hard to express the magic of this place -- the hordes of screaming cockatoos in the trees, the ibix, the wild red and green lorikeets, bonewood, ficus, camellia, snowdrop, tulip, Japanese iris. The visitor guide implores you to "please walk on the grass, smell the flowers, hug the trees, picnic on the lawns". I wandered about with a dumb smile on my face, transfixed.

It sounds like a magical place and no doubt the sounds must feel like being at a concert.
Enjoy your weekend
