I have very strong memories of my father reading me the Kon-Tiki book as a bed time story. I would have been about 5 and thought it was thrilling. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2238/2488248785_9749d2f64a.jpg?v=1210660882
Look at you, bringing Knut into centre stage. Where he absolutely deserves to stand. Loved reading about him. Want to find that documentary that he made to counteract the Kirk Douglas extravaganza.

There was a series on tv when I was about ten, I was right there! Thanks for the nostalgia.

Ahh--I took a boat (of course!) to the Kon Tiki museum in Norway. Just fabulous!
