Easter Monday wisdom

Look, I don't need thunderbolts, but I'm not sure I believe that there are any coincidences in life.  In three disparate yet parallel areas, all neatly interwoven like a Hollywood movie, I find great messy globs of evidence, and if I were a better person, I'd say that it doesn't surprise me that it all happened in Easter week.

Here's something my friend Thomas Lakeman wrote on his FB page yesterday about his one year-old Jack Russell puppy:

(Thomas) is watching Lola warm herself in the Easter morning sun and thinks that she must know instinctively what we humans have to learn with such difficulty: somebody does indeed love her and believes she's worth saving.
