Before the next deluge, Little Tujunga creek

My Panasonic Lumix FS15 died, most distressingly, over Christmas.  It was just as I was trying to zoom in on the angels and shepherds, and the dear little donkey, at the Nativity Pageant at All Saints.  I'm fiddling around with its replacement, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS5 (on sale at Best Buy). Here are some of the inaugural roll.

The Little Tujunga Creek is swollen to twice or three times its size. Happily, today, the water is subsiding, but the greater spotted got the shock of her life last week when she plunged in and the water went up to her ears. She swam valiantly -- doing the doggy equivalent of a glamorous lady's side stroke, chin pointed skyward -- to the other bank and shook herself off vigorously.
