My mother's thoughts on the First Lady's wardrobe
My mother is funny. She said that the British press are up in arms because Michelle is wearing department store clothes and not real designers. I told her it was JCrew and her tone changed immediately. "Oh. Right. I have a JCrew jacket. I rather like it." She pauses. "It's jolly good that, isn't it, that she shops where real people shop and it proves you don't have to spend five thousand pounds on a dress to look good." "I agree, Mamma," I said.
